Track Comments Not Working in Split Databse FE

Another issue I am having is that I have a field called "Comments", that I have set so that if the user enters comments you can go back and view the history and see previous entries. It was working great until I split my database and created my front end files to distribute to my team. It is no longer giving the user the option to view the column history and see the previous comment entries for each line item. It still works in the ADMIN copy of the Front End file, it does not work in the accde version.  I checked everything and it the settings are all still the same. I am not sure what else I can do to be able to track the comments for each task. Any advice?

The field name is comments, the data type is Long and the append is set to yes.  It works on the admin version of the front end- just not the others. I will try and get you a screen shot-

How are you appending the "Comments" field? are you doing it in the field or by VBA?

In the field. It works in the admin copy. All I did was save it as an accde to distribute to the rest of the team....

Probably better to save the Comments in a related table rather than use the Append Only property.
Richard mentions this in his Append Only video.

I will take a look at it. Thank you Kevin!

I had that video marked as viewed, but I don't remember it! Did you use your own database to find it?

Sami No, I just happened to remember this video. When I first watched it I had no idea what Append Only was.
