Why does macro box pop up when trying to debug
Tom Mauldin

I have been out of programing for awhile and a lot of this is new to me.  I have a class attached to a form to handle gotfocus events but when I try to debug it using the debugger, the macro box pops up wanting a name.  When I give it a name a new class opens and I can't run the debugger on the original class that has my code in it. Can someone help and tell me where I am screwing up so I can the code in the class that was made when I clicked the gotfocus in the properties window.  Thanks

It prompts you for a macro because you haven't run anything.  To run and debug code on a form, you need to put a breakpoint in the GotFocus event of the code, go to the navigation pane, open the form, click on the control that has the GotFocus event, and THEN the GotFocus will actually run, and stop at the breakpoint you specified.  This is when you can actually debug the code.
