Relationships

Hopefully I do this correctly and get the image uploaded...

I see that you do not set explicit relationships between every table.

From the image, you can see that I have a CraftLevelsT, with CraftLevel field in all the tables shown.

When should explicit relationships be set...?

I ran into issues after setting the relationship with Access telling me that it couldn't tell which CraftLevelID I was referring to...

To Clarify...

The 'CraftLevel' you see in the other tables were labeled CraftLevelID (I changed the name in the other tables) with Explicit Relationships set between the CraftLevelID field of the CraftLevelT and the related field in the other Tables.

Mark,
First, I will go back to Calling it CraftLevelID, it is confusing as you have it in the image.
Second, I do not see any of the other tables liked to CraftLevelT which is the purpose of the table.

Please clarify

You'd need to join CraftLevelsT to each of the other tables.

The 'CraftLevel' field you see in the other tables IS the 'CraftLevelID' from the CraftLevelsT... I had set Explicit Relationships between all tables that have this field, however...

After following these videos, I deleted the explicit relationships and renamed the fields in the other tables, removing the '...ID' from the fieldname.
