I have:
- A table "Clients"
- A "Charges and Payments" table with payments linked many to 1 to the Clients table

In the Student table I have a field "Zero Balance Date" meaning that when I check the balance per student I start summing up from that date, ignoring everything before that date.

I created a query that receives as a parameter the client number and returns that balance. It works fine.

I have a form in which I show all of a single client's data, with a subform showing the payments and charges.

I want to show the result of the above query in a box in that form. I created a text box and now I want to fill it.

I thought of two ways to do it:
- call the query and feed it with the client number parameter automatically. IS IT POSSIBLE AND HOW DO I DO IT?
OR
- Write the query in the textbox data itself as an expression. HOW DO I DO THAT. I ONLY KNOW VERY BASIC SQL.

Yes, both of these options are possible. You can use a text box as a parameter for a query as I show in THIS tip, or you could write and SQL statement for the query as I cover in my SQL seminar.
