Yes,I can click ok all day and the message box is a persistent little bugger.  My way out of the mess is to hit escape a few times and then click in that area on the left with the pencil and the pencil goes away without updating the record. Just as an aside as you know we used the cancel method in another lesson and it worked just fine in that case.  So my thought is thta the code is good but there must be a property somewhere that is set wrong.

Yeah, that's quite strange. I can't think of what the problem might be off-hand. This is one of those things you really need to see the database to fix.
