Access Form Wont Allow Edits
John Wingard

I have a form that is supposed to be an edit form.  I have checked everything I can think to check.  whenever I open the form using the buttons designed for it I can not edit anything.  I've checked form recordset type, allow edits, the field is not locked but I still keep coming up with nothing. :-(

Is the form based on a Query? Is the recordset updatable?

Not Updateable

not a query perse.  recordset type is dynaset. Record Source: is set to the table then used a query builder to bring int he fields I wanted in the form.

I'm guessing it's not updateable as Kevin suggested. Try basing it only on the table without the extra fields and see if you can edit.

Ok, I guess is needed to sleep on it.  Lol, I found the issue.  The previous form that has the command to open this form somehow accidentally got set to lock all records..... Thank you for the help.
