Hey folks, it's time for another video quiz from Access Learning Zone.

This one's for expert-level users.

Got five questions covering Access forms.

You'll have three seconds to answer each question.

So hit that pause button if you need more time.

Keep track of your scores so we can see how you did at the end.

Are you ready to enter the laboratory?

Alright, here we go.

Question one: What should an Access command button configured to open a related Contact F from Customer F normally do? Open every contact record with no filter, open only contacts whose customer ID matches the current customer, copy all contact records into Customer T, or create a new table relationship each time it's clicked.

That's going to be B: Open only contacts whose customer ID matches the current customer.

Question two: Which expression correctly retrieves the value of customer ID from an open form named Customer F? There are your four options. Read them over and pick one.

That's going to be option C: Forms, bang Customer F, bang Customer ID. And if you've got spaces in your field names, you need brackets.

Question three: What condition is required for a default value expression to read a control from another form with the Forms collection?

The source form must be open.

The source form must be in design view.

Both forms must use the same record source.

The source control must be an AutoNumber field.

That's going to be A: The source form must be open.

Question four: In a continuous forms view, where should you place column labels so they appear once above the repeating records?

In the detail section, in the form footer, in a bound text box, or in the form header.

That's an easy one. That's in the form header.

And question five: A user enters a new customer, and the record selector shows the pencil icon before opening a form to add that customer's related contact. What should happen?

Refresh only the contact form, save or commit the customer record, use DLookup to retrieve the new customer ID, or change customer ID to a short text field.

And that is B: Save or commit the customer record.

Alright, how'd you do?

Did you get all five right?

Are you the director of the facility beneath the facility?

Did you follow the cat through a restricted door again?

Well, if you missed any of these, these topics and a lot more are covered in Access Expert Level Two Lesson Four, all about getting values across forms.

Thanks for playing. Post your score down in the comments below, and please try not to let any child forms escape containment.

Until next time, live long and prosper.
