More InformationTranscript Welcome to another video quiz from Access Learning Zone. This one's for beginner-level users. You got five questions on Access Table Basics. I'm going to give you three seconds for each question, so use that pause button if you need more time. Keep track of your score so we can see how you did at the end.
Are you ready to protect the timeline? Here we go.
Question one: When you resize or rearrange columns in a table's Datasheet view, what are you changing? The table's layout, the data type of each field, the values stored in the records, or the table's primary key.
That is the table's layout.
Question two: You've started entering a new record but have not saved it yet. What can you do to cancel the new record? Press Ctrl+S, press Escape, click the record selector and press Delete, or close Access without saving.

Question three: Why is it often better to leave a non-critical field, such as phone number, optional? External fields cannot be searched later. Access automatically fills optional fields with correct values. A blank value is often more useful than a made-up or incorrect data. Or optional fields are automatically removed from forms.

Question four: Which Access feature is best for preventing a customer's sent state from being earlier than their company's founding date or later than today? A validation rule, a record selector, an AutoNumber field, or a column layout change.

Question five: What is the safest way to remove a record that has already been saved in an Access table? Press Escape until the record disappears. Clear each field individually and leave the record blank. Select the record with its record selector, press Delete, and confirm carefully, or change the AutoNumber value to zero.
That is C: Select the record with its record selector, press Delete, and hope it wasn't something that you really needed because now it's gone.
