Thanks Sami. Sorry I did not fully explain the issue before my original post. I see it in the ACCDB version but not the ACCDE version (which is the one I have sent to user). I had wanted to limit access to users to things they do not need and could mess up. If I re-instate "allow full menus" from the "ribbon and tool bar options" then save ACCDE I can see the options for Word and Excel in ACCDE version. But then I can also see other options in the menus that maybe I don't want users to have access to. Basically I am asking how can I allow Reports for Word and Excel but limit the other options on the ribbon and tool bar options?

This is probably above your skill level but in Access Developer 44 Richard shows how to build custom Ribbons.

Thanks Kevin - I would think Developer 44 level is definately well beyond my capabilities. I will look at the other links you sent particularly the Export to Word. The user seemed mostly to want to use Word rather than Excel.
