Just a comment on Richard being unsure about into which range an order of $500 would fall. ie $0 to $500 or $500 to $1000. Logically the ranges shouldn't overlap and 500\500 = 1 (placing it in the $500 to $1000, whereas the highest currency value that can be in the first range must be $499.99 ie $499.99\500 = 0
Integer division forces the ranges to be $0 to $499.99, $500 to $999.99 etc
No need to have created an order of exactly $500 to test this - but it was a thoughtful way of proving the point.
