Mail Merge

Hi Richard
What lesson do I need or which forum should I explore to do the following task:
I need to create a mail merge from Access for upcoming invoices (I can do this!). However, some customers have multiple orders. These are for schools in different districts. For example: belgrade district has 3 schools, anderson district has 1 school, thief river has 8 schools.
I want one invoice for each district with all associated schools and their totals in a table.
I could do a query for each district but that seems to take too long (18 Districts!), and besides the districts I need to invoice vary each semester.
I expect I'm jumping way ahead in my course progression, but this is a deadline task for me. I can do it the long way, but if there's a lesson that will show me how I would love to jump ahead!

Hi Sarah Smith

First look at Aggregate Queries

Once you have created an aggregate query the summarize your data as you need it, the invoice printing will be strait forward after that.

Thanks Sami,
I did an aggregate query and then created a sub-form for one version, then I got to the part about creating groups on reports, so I can run the reports with a less complicated query. So that was my final solution. Anyhow, now I know two ways to solve the problem!
