Spell Check F7 in Textbox
Thomas Gonder

I've got several textboxes for notes that are bound to long text fields in forms.
For fun, I just tried F7 to see how spell checking worked. It starts up, but after I fix a word and cancel the popup tool, the entire field gets blanked out!
I tried with zoom (F2), and that won't even call the spell check tool.

Has anyone seen how to use this correctly without clobbering the text in the textbox?

Works fine for me. Perhaps Microsoft has fixed it?
Do you have the most recent update?

@ Alex thanks for that. Google search didn't present Rick's video. Hmmm, must have been my search with F7. However, in my form, F7 does nothing. So, I'm wondering if it's turned off somewhere. My first pass through the Access Options didn't reveal where.

@Kevin, Office 365 ver. 2502

@Kevin Since Richard's video is three years old, I'm guessing it's disabled somewhere, but I checked the form design too, nothing I see there. I'll have to build a new, small db to test.

Made a test .accdb, and F7 works. So, either I've turned it off somehow, or my form is so complex that Access can't figure out what to do. I do filter keystrokes, but I've checked that F7 isn't getting filtered.
