I have a form that opens a second form displaying a recordset in data sheet view.  With that second form I would like to give the user the ability to double click on the account number  - in any record displayed - to open the active record in a third form I have created specifically for single record viewing (there are like 50 fields in the recordset so data sheet view makes sense initially and then the user will want to see the record without scrolling).  I created a double click event in my second form that does the job of opening my third form - but instead of showing the active record of the account number I clicked on, it instead shows the first record of the recordset.  Is the best way around this to pass the active account number into a variable in vba that will then be used as the record source of the third form?  I hope that makes sense; thanks.
