Is Closing and Deleting Necessary

I made something similar in my db. I have an SQL table, and generate a local temp table with only active records (IsActive <> 0) when I launch the db. My read-only form uses the temp table as a recordsource, performs great.
But then...
I have a second form, an Edit form for making changes to the SQL table. Changes here trigger (vba) a re-sync of the local table using UPDATE or INSERT queries. This works great. Local temp table reflects the changes, and inactived records (IsActive = 0) disappear. But when the Reading form requeries (me.requery), nothing changes. Inactivated records are still there in the form, even though they are not in the form's recordsource (temp table). Like ghost data! Aah!
Closing/opening the form, changing or resetting the recordsource (vba), nothing fixes it, unless I close the form, delete/append, and reopen, like in the video. I'm sooo confused - what's special about this circumstance that a form shows data that is not in its underlying recordsource?

Resolved, found a vba logic flaw that was easily being avoided when deleting/appending. Delete/append appears to be by far the cleaner solution. Naturally, I'll see if I can make it more complicated. :)
