When I design a query to select those Customers without an email and then try to use the NZ function, I get the warnings as in the attached image. I guess that this is because the "No Email" string is not a hyperlink and so creates a type mismatch. Am I right in my analysis? And how does one overcome this issue.?

Check the Table. It looks like you have the field indexed Yes (No Duplicates).
