Fields in Order Detail Form Not Updating
Steve Garrison

On a new database I'm currently trying to get working, when I click on the "Add" button of my OrderDetail sub-form none of the fields in the form are populated with the exception of a quantity field, and that has a default value of "1" anyway. I have another database that's has exact same order detail form that works. Looking at the "On_Click()" subroutines for both the working and non-working add buttons, they are identical. What have I missed?

Are the records being added to the Table?
Is there a current order?
Have the Link Master / Link Child properties of the Subform object been set up correctly.

Other than the points above I am unable to advise you further without seeing your code and possibly some screenshots.

I'll double check the link properties, but I'm almost positive they are set properly as I had checked that earlier thinking that might be my issue. What code are your referring to? The VBA for the "On_Click()"? I did upload two screenshots. The first when I first enter the form and the second after I've selected a product and clicked on "Add." If I add another product the first is updated but still blank except for quantity and the new order number is created.

I mis-stated what happens when I "Add" another product. This is the message that pops up when I attempt to add another product. But a new order is created in the order table and I get 3 line items in the OrderDetail table. A quantity of 1 with no productcode, description, or price along with 2 line items with nothing in them at all.

Following this post is a combined snapshot of the Order and OrderDetail table after selecting the "Save Record" on the "Write Conflict" message box.

Is ProductID / ProductCombo included in your code?

How do I include code in a post? I've seen it in other posts, but haven't needed to myself until now. I'll go ahead and get a snapshot of my "On_Click()" code to post.
