Are you trying to literally link the tables like a SQL database for constant use, or just make like an API connection to interact with it at certain times?

You can shoot Sami an email and he might be able to figure something out for you. [email protected]

Hi, Dg

Any particular reason why you are using FDB database instead of using a free version of SQL Server?

The software is Legacy10, a genealogy app;  I have input 20K + records into what is clearly a relational DB with the extension .fdb.  I am wanting access to the data within each table, not looking for access to the app itself, just the data which I have entered.

I have some soft ware that will take a .ged file and extract the data: called GedXlite, but that means I have to convert the .fdb to .ged and then extract  the data using the GedXlite app , and then load up Access.....I am want to go straight from the .fdb to accdb

Alex yes that is the driver, but I can not create a DNS that connects the fdb to Access

I am not entirely sure that the .fdb is a Firebird DB....but I dont any way to create an extension such as fdb using Access or other relational DB app

I've never used this software, but can you just export out to Excel and then import the Excel files into a Access database to create the tables?

You sure it's the correct ODBC driver?
Can you ask their Support?
