Lesson 9 Changing Report Header
Tannim Hallman

In lesson 9, Rick sets up the report header so it will change based on dates and selected account. I can't get it to change. It stays with the default header text.

Other than the date format, your code is identical to Richard's, so things I might look at:

1) Are your form field names the same as Richard's (i.e. do the match what the VBA is looking for "StartDate" and "EndDate" respectively

2) Also, have you changed the name of your form or your report. If so, you may need to make sure it's linked properly.

3) Are running in a "trusted" location or file. Some VBA actions won't work if not trusted.

4) In the Report's Event tab property sheet for the Report Header, does it show "[Event Procedure]" in the On Format property. Sometimes if you type it into the VBA window it doesn't pick it up in the report properties. Clicking the "..." in that field and going to "Code Builder" should ensure that is working

Beyond these steps, the basic Debug/Compile may find something for you otherwise, would need to see the properties of your form and report to glean any additional information

Field names do match. Form and report names have not changed. I checked Trust Center and it is a trusted location. The event is not in the On Format property. I'll fix that. Thank you.

Sometimes it's the littlest things that get you scratching your head on things.

Glad to help.
