This is because you've got a reference in your database to ADO (ActiveX Data Objects). Remove that if you're not using it or make sure that DAO is higher than ADO in your references list. This has actually been on my list to make a TechHelp video about for years now, but I thought the problem mostly went away. It usually only shows up with people using Access 2013 or 2016 because Microsoft switched what the default was around then.
