Refine a Double Click Event From Subform to Form
Kirk Barry

While on a subform, I created a double click event in a databox to open a form. When I double click, I get a dialog box that instructs me to "enter parameter value"  I would prefer it if the double click event took me directly to the form.  What did I do wrong?

Private Sub SampleNumber_DblClick(Cancel As Integer)
    DoCmd.OpenForm "StandardCannProductF", , , "SampleNumber=" & SampleNumber
End Sub

And the answer is.........double quotes.  The table field is a short text field. So I added quotes to the SampleNumber at the end of the string and presto, it works great
Thank your for helping me on my continuing mission to explore the strange new world of coding and string concantisomething or other......James Kirk  star date 20251005.
