Combo and String Value

What if you have a field where you need to set the value as a string and want to use a combo box? For example: I have a field called AccountType. It either needs to be C for Checking or S for savings. Can a combo button be used to set these values?

You can use a combo box. When you add the combo box, a wizard will open. Select "Type in values I want", click next, type in the values, click next, and then pick the AccountType field.

Option Group

The values of an Option Group have to be numeric.

Kevin You can store Option Group numeric values the same as storing foreign keys for combo boxes. 0= "C" 1 = "S" -Raymond
