Yes to Working Directly with Time Field

I have a timecard form and a form for how long I spend on specific tasks. I don't have a middle-man field and just type the time in directly as I won't have multiple entries with the same time.

Can you explain a little more? Maybe show some examples.

I've been on vacation and fallen behind (still in the 3x episodes) on the fitness database, so I may have missed something. Looks like you have a field in your header that then populates what is in the detail section. My times are hardly ever the same so that wouldn't make sense for my Lego build

Yep. There's a default value field in the upper-left that feeds the time to new records. If you haven't gotten to that lesson yet and you're still in the 30s, it's coming.

Ok, but do I need a middle-man text box to do this? Or is this just me in my old habit of trying to make as little as possible do as much as possible, lol?

Nope. It's all explained in the videos. :)
