Adding Records to Junction Tables Via VBA
Joseph Sylvester

I have an Access database, Medical Miles, I created with a many-to0many vrelationship. There are three many tables: Visits, Services, an a junctionn table  Visits_Services.The main data enrery form is based on Visits, where a subform provides the entry for the junction table.Everything works as expected when the data is entered manually.
Howerever I have a small set of visits to providers that always have the same service.
or example, fopr a provider Pharmacy, the service is always prescriptions. I wish to set the service via VBA.
I am unable to save this information. Is there a way to automatically set Servive to a specific value under these conditions?

That would be easy to do. Once a provider is selected, it would trigger an event to check what types of services are available, and if only (such as prescriptions), just set that as the default and enter it.

To walk you through it, we would need to see exactly how you are determining the Providers. For example, do you select them from a combo or list box. Do providers have a "type" classification that could be used to determine if provider is pharmacy, service is prescription, if provider is phlebotomist, service is lab work, or whatever is relevant. That would tell us how the best way to advise you in how to set up your "after update" event.

I have a combo box that provides a list of providers. I select a provider (pharmacy) and from an after update from providers I have a list of special providers. I check if provider equals pharmacy. I want to set the junction provider ID equals pharmacy (number value). This is where I don't know what to do further. The combo box does not get updated and no record is saved.
