Hello Rick
After the longest time of using Updater I just made some changes.
Whether a new admin or a user I default the user name to the current computer name.
I also always put my server folder in a standard place so I default the remote database to my standard server folder and create a folder called the same as the main database.
For example, I am working on a database called HouseGame.accdb.
So when I open the new set up the computer name is used as the user name.
Then using a concatenation of my standard server folder which is hard coded.
This is “A:Acces Server\”
The file name excluding the file extension is used as the folder into which the database will be placed.
So now we have “A:Acces Server\HouseGame\ ”

Then the full database name is added to the end.
So now we have “A:Acces Server\HouseGame\ HouseGame.accdb”

This string is added to the remoteb field.
I always start my databases on a standard form so I hard code that, too.
These steps speed up the whole  set up process.
Many thanks for a superb system.
