ABCD and SQL

Good morning - and TGIF! Hope everyone's ready for the weekend. Looks like I'm in for some cold weather, which is the perfect excuse to stay in, catch up on Richard's videos, and watch Star Trek: Academy.

I have a request to add to Richard's already long "list of things to do." As you know, I'm planning to redo the ABCD database in SQL. A few fellow moderators mentioned there can be some challenges making that transition, so I'm looking forward to the learning curve once I get to the SQL/developer stage so no rush at all.

My request: could you include a demo on selecting multiple documents from the Documents tab (I'm thinking a checkbox next to each file), then clicking a button to create an email and attach only the selected documents?

Right now, I'm manually opening the folder and drag-dropping files into an email before sending. I've seen the "zip and email" approach, but I'd rather not go that route - I want to be able to review the email before I hit Send, and ideally be able to open the document(s) I'm attaching to double-check them before sending.

Knowing Richard, he's probably already covered something like this in VBA (and it may be the same approach either way)... but at the moment, my brain is buzzing with SQL.

Well, selecting the items is no big deal, and in the email seminar I did cover sending multiple attachments. As far as the zip part goes, that's best done with PowerShell, but I could definitely add this as a lesson, probably a developer lesson.
