Access Introduction

Richard

I was pretty much similar to you, in the early 90s I started a computer business and I needed some software for documents to make up some books, I started with Word Perfect well that was not perfect lol, damn images would not stay where I put them.

A friend at the time introduced me to Microsoft Office, which had access included, and at the time I wasn’t interested in Access just Word and it was a lot better the word perfect :).

One day my girl friend ask if I knew how make a database, and we started to learn, wasn’t easy I started looking for something to learn more and Northwind was one of the templets, so I pulled that to peace’s and learned the hard way.

I ended up making a Phone Book database, remember the tickler Richard lol I still have the calendar, the tickler is part of the reminders?, ended up calling the database Phone Book 2000 cause that’s when it was finished.

I just finished rebuilding the new Phone Book for 2026 with Richards help of course image below

I got smart with the floppy's, I copied them to the hard drive then installed them all in one go.

Thankyou Bill

I'm still working on this one, the calendar needs to go after 26 years of using it, the ActiveX Control dose not work with 64bit.
So I'm making my own which work the same and looks the same, also need to fix the menu.
