Find Computer Information for Install Security

I have installed an ACCDE program on a client computer. I want to make sure that they do not copy this program and use it elsewhere or give it to someone else to use.

Is there a way in VBA/Access to find something specific to the computer (Name, MAC Address, etc.) and store it in a table to compare to what the current information is? If it is not the same as the original install data, lock the program from running again.

You might be looking for something like this? Access Registration Seminar

There are a few ways you could lock the database down to one computer.
The simplest probably being ENVIRON such as

Dim computerName As String

computerName = Environ("COMPUTERNAME")

msgbox computerName

The real problem is to consider how you want to handle problems. What if the computer dies or they change the computer name, do they call you and you have to set them up again? Or do you want to make something that you don't have to be involved if they just need to re-activate a machine/license?

I would have them call me and let me rebuild the data or maybe even put a password protected option (me only) under the maintenance button. Thanks for the help!
