How Did You Get Introduced to Microsoft Access
Debbie Heaney

It was college 2010 and I would've been aged in the early thirties at the point.
I was made redundant from my precision engineering job of 11 years as the company went under.
I had always wanted to learn more about computers beyond playing games so got into college early 2009 and done some really basic classes on computing technical support.
I breezed through those entry level classes, so after a brief talk with a tutor skipped a couple of levels and went into a mid-high level class.
As part of the class we were shown some of the basic problems that come up in Microsoft Office and how to fix them. Math not mathing right, formatting gets messed up, macros bugging out type stuff.
Also as part of the course we had to make a mock up of an ATM system in Access.
I got hooked, hard. Tinkered around a bit over the years, found Richard's content and kept tinkering.
Never actually use any of it though. build it then forget. maybe going back to rewrite stuff as i learn more. for nothing more than the fun of it.
