Access B1 L3 Ti 1:36 - General Database Question

Is there ever a time where someone may want to have their entire database in multiple Access database files? For example, if the total number of tables exceeds 20.

Tanya The biggest constraint that you would run into is the database file size limit of 2GB, which includes the data in your tables as well as all supporting forms, queries and reports.  Separating out tables to other access databases gives you 2GB of space in each of those as well.  If you are building a database that will be getting that large, it would be best to plan towards moving your tables to SQL Server.  Also, don't try to do an ALL-IN-ONE database, keep like data together. ie; Banking: Sales Products Invoicing and possibly Inventory:  Asset Tracking: Contacts.  There could be overlap where your contacts may link with your sales etc.
