Hello there. OK, so I've implemented the Open Last Customer-extended cut feature to my database. I love it.

However, I'm noticing a maybe unintended feature.
Every time I Click the Next button from the navigation buttons, when it's the last record in the recordset, it creates a "new" record. If I keep clicking the next button it keeps creating new records that are blank, except for the [LastOpened] field.

I do want to be able to add new records, just not accidentally by clicking the next button.

Is there a way to prevent it from doing that???

BTW. Not sure if I'm saying things right. I'm fairly new to this stuff, but I was able to make it work by just following what was on the video. This one was over my head with the TempVars stuff.

I know the easiest fix is to not hit the NEXT button, but... :)

When you are on a new record the Next Button and the Add New Button in the Navigation Bar should both be disabled. A new record should not be created unless you start entering data.

The New Button and Add New Button are enabled. And like I said every time I Click the Next button it's creating a new record.
Now, I know very little if any VBA, but in the extended cut, the two last lines of the "on current" event are:
    LastOpened = Now()
    Me.Refresh

So, I'm guessing that's what's doing it. It's putting Now() in the LastOpened field and then refreshing it, thus creating a new record that's blank except for the date and time in the LastOpened Field.

It may be that if I want this feature, just be careful not to hit Next, but I keep creating  new blank records by accident. And I thought there might be an easy way keep it from doing that. I thought somebody else might have run into this and might have mentioned it.

It's easy to just delete the records from the CustomerT.  It's just annoying to me when I open a combo box and seeing a few blank records at the top because I hit the Next button. :)
