Welcome to the Access Beginner Series. I'm continually updating my courses, but don't let the age of some of the older lessons concern you. The core concepts of Microsoft Access haven't changed much in a very long time. Tables are still tables, queries are still queries, forms are still forms, and combo boxes are still combo boxes.

Most of the material in these lessons is just as relevant today as it was when it was first recorded. In fact, if you're using Access 2007 or newer, you'll be able to follow along with little or no difference at all. Microsoft has made only a handful of changes over the years to the features I cover in the Beginner series, mostly cosmetic. For example, "Memo" fields are now called "Long Text" fields. Oooh. Exciting stuff.

Access Beginner 1 and 2 were recently re-recorded so that if you're an absolute beginner, you won't be confused by anything that's different. I'm still refreshing the other lessons with updated examples, improved techniques, and newer features where appropriate, but the fundamentals of Access remain the same. So don't worry if you see an older video. The skills you'll learn are still valid for Access 365, 2024, 2021, 2019, 2016, 2013, and 2007.

And if you're still using Access 2003, well, it's time to upgrade. LOL. But seriously... I do have an older course for that, too.
