Thank you very much for the kind words. As far as a dark mode for the website, I haven't bothered building one because I use a dark mode browser extension called Dark Reader that I highly recommend. This way, when the system goes into dark mode (which I do with my Access database that I built in the developer lessons), it automatically kicks in in the browser too.

Ahh, just installed :) I was worried because on their site, it kept just saying install for FireFox for Android, but working on PC as well.

I have to say, other than non-transparent backgrounds on some images, I think the dark mode it gives gives the site a cool Happy Days - esque coloring/vibe.

I am with you on modern web design.  It seems to focus on maximizing time spent on the site or coaxing the user into sharing personal information instead of actually being useful.  

I am not interested in the aesthetics, I only want the data.  Give me a matrix with specs and pricing, and I am happy.   Facebook and Amazon being unwilling to filter and sort effectively is also frustrating.  To me, most modern web design seems to disregard the value of the users' time.

I think websites should include a "NERD" button on the home page to bypass the fluff.  :)
