In the video Richard mentioned that you could click the 3 dots in the Link Master/Link Child Fields to set subform relationships up. That may have been the case in the past, I'm not sure, however, that doesn't work now. You have to manually enter the related fields in Link Master Fields / Link Child Fields like Richard did in the video when working with unbound forms.

Donald is correct. The Subform Field Linker wizard can't determine a relationship when the main form is unbound, because there is no Record Source for Access to examine.

Just type the matching field names manually into the subform control's properties:

Link Master Fields: the control on the main form, such as CrewID

Link Child Fields: the corresponding field in the subform's Record Source, such as CrewID

Also make sure you are selecting the subform control itself on the main form, not opening the subform and looking at its properties. The Link Master Fields and Link Child Fields properties belong to the subform control.
