Our company has been using a Microsoft Access system that was originally created approximately 30 years ago. It has been reliable and continues to support our business needs, but it has evolved over time and needs updating to improve efficiency, usability, and integration with our current processes.

Our team works in Excel daily and uses Access primarily once a month. We believe Excel and Access could work together more effectively, but we struggle with managing tables, updates, and maintaining efficient workflows between the two systems.

We are looking for someone who can review our current setup, understand our business processes, and recommend a modernization plan. The project would include:

Evaluating our existing Access database structure, tables, queries, forms, and reports.
Improving Excel import/export processes and reducing manual steps.
Simplifying updates and ongoing maintenance within Access.
Making frequently used functions easier to navigate and execute.
Modernizing the look and user experience of the application.
Improving the format and presentation of output reports provided to our customers.
Recommending best practices and a roadmap for future improvements.

Our goal is not to replace a system that works, but to enhance and modernize it so it is easier to use, maintain, and support our business going forward. We are looking for someone who can first assess what we have today, identify opportunities for improvement, and create a practical plan to move us forward.
