Trusting Downloaded Databases
Rick's Tips

At around 7:10, I click Enable Content and say the sample database is safe because it only contains a table. I should clarify that seeing only a table isn't a reliable safety check for an unfamiliar database. Tables can have automated instructions attached to them. Only enable content when you know and trust where the file came from, as with the class file downloaded directly from my website. If your download shows a different warning, my Active Content TechHelp video explains the newer messages and how to handle trusted files. Leave Access's general security protections turned on. You can continue the course with the same practice database.
