I have purchased Access 2013 with the intention of using it to create a database to use at work. The version that is in use at work is Access 2010. Will the 2010 version be able to run what I create at home in the 2013 version?

Yes, they share the same file format. You shouldn't have any problems UNLESS you start getting into 2013-specific VBA programming. If you stick to the "standard" features, you'll be fine.
