Both fields in question are numeric, long integer. As far as I can tell they are set up the same in both tables. All the form combo boxes work on one form based on their respective tables. Combo boxes based on the other table will not allow selection by typing at the prompt. It gives the previous text error and I am required to pick from the drop down list. The table is question works fine in reports and queries. I only have a problem with combo boxes.  Thanks for you time.
