Vendors to Products, at the end, you mentioned that in our "Products to Vendors" that you could update prices in the Products subform on the VendorsF. I was just curious how that would prevent changing any old records showing what we paid for an item in the past...say last year it was 10.00 and now it is 10.50. How would the UnitCost being in the JunctionT prevent those records from being changed in retrospect.
Pamela, you are absolutely, 100% correct. If you make that change it changes everywhere in your database. At this point, you'll just have to create a new product with different pricing. It's a more advanced feature, but in Access Expert 22 I teach you how to get around this by copying the price (and other product info) into your related records.
