Falling in Love with Access
Luz Rodriguez

Hi! I'm Luz from Puerto Rico.

In 2019 I started to explore Access as a way to simplify part of my tasks at work (mostly because when I'm on vacation they pile up). At first it was a trial and error kind of thing since it was a program I wasn't familiarized with.

Lots of web research and YouTube videos after I found your channel and it has been the best thing ever. I can say I'm falling in love with Access. As a part of my simplification process, one of the things I also needed to do was to get my coworkers onboard with using it instead of the Excel workbook we'd been working with (as they also weren't so familiarized with Access). I can tell you that it has been a mostly swift process, they like how fast it works in comparison, lots of data entry replaced with just clicks on combo boxes, no more lost data from unsaved workbooks... Also, one of my worries was how friendly would it be for a coworker who's not so computer-skilled and she's the one who likes it the most since it's easier to the eyes. So far is a win-win.

I know I still got a lot to learn but thanks to your videos I know I'm going in the right way. Words cannot express how grateful I am to you for taking your time to teach us in the easy to follow and entertaining way you do. Thank you so much Rick!!!

PS: sorry for the long post!

Never apologize for a long post if it's complimenting me. LOL. I appreciate your kind words. Once you get to know access it's definitely a lot more comprehensive and geared toward better data entry the Excel. It takes a little bit more to learn how to use it but once you do you'll find it's a lot more rewarding. I'm glad you enjoy the videos. Keep watching.
