I run the DB from home for a company. I have remote access to their server to upload inventory, etc. I put a backup DB on their server using your backup-database template to backup up my FEaccde file & 2 BEfiles daily. Heres the catch: I must go out & manually run this backup file. I even added a date stamp field to it so if I dont get to run them that nite, I can do it the next morning using yesterdays date. My question is this: can I open another instance of Access when the user opens the DB in the morning to run the backup DB in the background during the day? I found a code snippet online & can see the backup DB opening, but then it closes. The company DB throws everyone out at 18:00. It would be great to have the backup DB run automatically at 19:00. Then I could set it & forget it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
