SMS Form

Hi All

Hope you are all doing good?

I think I share the same problem with Larry. I've been trying to create a form to send SMS messages. I've tried using the same technic that was used in the email seminar but have failed. I've setup a paid account at Twillo and have been able to send test text messages but ultimately need a form as I share my db with other people who don't have access to the code. I really don't need to send bulk messages but still need a form for single messages.

Julian -
Was there a question here?
It appears by the message in your status box you didn't enter a valid phone number.

Hi Scott, yes the number is incorrect but it was intentionally as I did not want to give away my number publicly.

The question is I need help to make the above form work as I have multiply users who do not have access to the code. I have sent a couple of messages so far but by editing the message in the code which is not actually convenient. Please guys Help, I tried using the same method I learnt from the email seminar but that has not worked for me so far

So you can send the messages using the text in the code directly. But if the ONLY change is that you set it to that text field you can't? Can you share the code? The error doesn't match really but are you using quotes right?

Julian -
I have about a million questions and they all relate to not having enough information to help you.

If this is an internal database that you just want users to be able to use the paid account you have set up, that would be one method of setting things up.

If this is something that you are going to distribute and they need to get their own account to be able use the texting.  That would be a different way of setting things up.

Check out this video:
Value from a Form

In short, you need to be much more specific on what you did and what errors you received for us to be able to assist you.  Saying, "I tried using the same method I learnt from the email seminar but that has not worked for me so far" doesn't tell us what you did or why it failed.

I'm not sure if you can see the code I have posted as it is still "pending approval". I replace the [To] phone Number with the name of the  field on my SMS form and Replaced message with TextBody which is also the name of of the field for the body of the text message

I moved Julian's post HERE because it's basically all the source code from the Members Only video.
