Hi, In the Printable Invoice 1 video, you create the OrderR that will contain the subreport, OrderDetailR. To get all of the customer information for the main report, you create the OrderQ query. Since the OrderT and CustomerT tables are related, instead of creating the OrderQ, could you not get the needed customer fields straight off the CustomerT? When I click on the Add Existing Fields button, I see the CustomerT table, including it's fields. Is there an advantage/disadvantage to doing it this way, instead of creating a separate query?
Creating a query makes a less complicated Record Source for the report. Instead of a long SQL statement joining multiple tables, you have a nice simple query which is easier to edit in the future, should you need to make changes, add fields, etc.
