Security Seminar Log it

I was able to use quite a bit of the Security Seminar in my Access application. I had the Logit working fine as well. I converted my db to SQL Express and it seems the Logit no longer works. In fact it stops forms from opening. If I comment in front of it everything works fine. I think the issue is the Dim UserID As Long. I know SQL Express / Server does not support Long. I tried to change it to Bigint and relink the table LogT but it does not work. Any suggestions on how to get Logit running properly on SQL Express/Server?

That's interesting. I haven't tried it with SQL Server, but you can just use the int data type in SQL Server in the place of Long Int from Access.

How did you upload the Access table into SQL Express?
Wouldn't it convert it to the necessary type?

I used the Microsoft SQL Server to Access Migration Assistant. I looking through the documentation from Microsoft it looks like it should have converted the data types automatically. So if it's doing the conversion internally in SQL, then I'm at a loss why it does not work. I did try just changing the DIM statement to int instead of Long but that just gives an error.

Ah. That's one of the first things I mention in the Access SQL Online Seminar is NOT to use the Access Migration Assistant. I've seen it cause more problems than I can count. Try creating the table manually or exporting JUST that table.
