I have an issue (lack of education) and was wondering if someone could help.  I have a database called "Fishing Rods" and it has the fields you'd expect.  Make, Model, Serial Number, etc.  But one of the fields is a text field called "Owner."  In this field is several names, mostly redundant data... the same names over and over again.  

So after watching one of Richard's tutorials, "Microsoft Access Update Query: Values from Another Table to Normalize a Field. Plus add World Flags!"  I was successfully able to add a countryID field and store the ID's in the main table.  So instead of having "US" listed thousands of times, I'm storing the CountryID from the Country table.

I'm trying to do the same thing with the "People" table.  Here's what I've done so far;
I've added a "PeopleID" number field to the "Fishing Rods" table.  I've also created a new table called "People" with an "ID" autonumber field, and "Last Name", "First Name", and Middle Initial" text fields.  So what I'm trying to accomplish is keeping the people in the people table and store the ID number in the "PeopleID" field in the Fishing Rods table.  I'm not sure how this query should look, or what relationship to create since I'd be going from one field to multiple fields.
