Import New Changed Records

I have a problem, I would like my users to be able to make changes to any column in the excel sheet that is linked to Access and it will update using the update query to my table. Is there a way that I can the update query to detect any changes in the data and import it?

Not that I know of, I'm not as keen on excel VBA if you could program it to do it. If you use the table frequently inside access you wouldn't want it running random update queries either while your users are using the data. You're going to run into some errors.

What does the excel sheet do? It seems to me like it would be easier to just move the excel sheet into access instead and stop using the excel sheet. If you HAD to have an excel sheet for something like sending to someone who only accepts excel, you could easily just grab the most current information from access and export it to an excel file to send out.

Not easily, no. Like Adam said that would require some coding to compare the data.
