Database Structure

I saw you design a database where you keep order payments/charges in the order details table. I was thinking of putting in a separate Payment table that would connect with orders/services. Is that a good design (a separate payments table) or will it give headache later? Please explain in detail if possible.
Thanks

Usman that is a deep rabbit hole to go down.  There is no easy or "Always" do it this way answer.

If you only ever take one payment - that would probably be over kill.  If you receive multiple payments then it is definitely the way to go.

I see in your courses you are up to Beginner 2.  I don't know your experience outside of what I see here.  I recommend continuing at least through Expert 1 or 2 before you jump into your project.  Get the basics down first.

There is also a ton of free video resources in the TechHelp. Even better is the Silver or Gold Membership.  Those take you beyond and more into the deeper levels of what you can accomplish.

If you have specific questions ask away, we're here to help.

Nevertheless, when you're ready, partial payments are covered in Access Developer 7.
