When I try out the button, I receive a Run-time error '438': Object doesn't support this property or method.
I believe I have followed correctly. Completely lost on this. Help!

Is Balance a Text Box? Can you post a screenshot of your form in design view and the properties for the control.

It is a button. I can remove that one line of code, and the button does open the form.

Simple field name's misspelled in tables and a query

I'd say a good HALF of all VBA code problems are due to misspellings.
