Add New Tables to a Split DB

Hi Richard,
I was asked to create a database to track student records with specific criteria and 3 others will have access to the db. I split it as directed by your video and it's working great! Since then they have asked I add a few more things like student ethnicity, which I believe needs a table of its own and a lookup for the student table. How do I add a new table to an already split database? I tried creating it on the .be file but the .fe file doesn't see it. When I try to relink, the new tables down show up to choose. Any help would be appreciated or if you can point me to a video on this you already created. Thank you!

You can also do it manually:

You did right adding the table to the BE file.
Next you just need to go into the front end and import the new table.

External Table > New Data Source > From Database > Access

Choose your back end file.
Make sure you also choose Link To The Data Source.
Click OK
A list box will pop up.  Choose the New table(s) and click OK.

You should now see the linked table in your front end Navigation Pane.

Don't forget - You will have to distribute the new front end to all of your users once you get done developing / changing you forms.  See the Access Updater for the easiest way to do that.

Awesome! Thank you so much. I thought I was going to have to start from scratch. You saved me from a huge headache.
