Access 2 Database Update

I have several old databases that were designed in Access 2 in the mid to late 1990s. They are too old to run on current Access versions. I have a version of Access 2003, but it will not open the old databases. Is there any way to update the old databases to a newer version?

Try this.

Open a new blank database in your current version of Access.
Go to External Data > New Data Source > From Database > Access

Find and Select your old file.  I'm assuming it is an .mdb file
Click Select All on each tab to import all of your Tables, Forms, Reports, etc.
Click OK.

It will either work or not.  If it did GREAT!  Save it as the new version.
If it didn't - Sorry, probably not recoverable.  I don't have better ideas.

You can try what Scott suggested, but I'm not sure Access 2016 and later can even import 2003 MDB files.

Since he mentioned he has a 2003 version of Access he might be able to import to that - then convert to 2016.

Yeah, you might even have to go 2003 > CSV > 2016

Thanks for the input. Access 2016 did update all but one database. The one left is a copy of someone else's modification of my original one. I will try Ridhard's suggestion of 2003 > CSV > 2016. Thanks to all for the suggestions.
