In the lesson, you change the Gender field data type from Y/N to Number but when you reopen the form, the field is still listed as Y/N (checkbox). Why doesn't the form change it from a checkbox to a text box or why doesn't Access give a warning or something?

You will need to delete the check box and re-add the field from the Field List. Access won't do this automatically.
